Fried Okra Tempura with Wasabi Aioli

Yields1 Serving
 1 lb fresh okra
 5 ½ cups all-purpose flour
 1 tbsp cornstarch
 5 ½ cups soda water
 1 tsp garlic salt
 ½ tbsp berbere
 3 cups canola Oil for Frying
Wasabi Aioli
 1 cup mayonnaise
 1 tbsp wasabi paste
 1 lemon (juiced)
 1 tsp garlic salt
 2 tbsp olive oil
 1 tsp Kosher salt

In a large bowl add the flour and cornstarch and mix, then add the remaining dry ingredients. Add the soda water and mix well.

Preheat the oil. Take each piece of Okra and dip into the batter and then into the oil. Cook for three to four minutes while moving around in the oil.

As the color develops to a golden brown, remove.

Wasabi Aioli

In a bowl combine the mayonnaise along with the remaining ingredients and mix well.
